20 Years of Fun on Avoca Lake!
Aquafun Avoca Lake owners Michael and Jennifer Kilp have reached a momentous milestone, this month celebrating their 20th anniversary of making fun memories for Central Coast residents and visitors. The business has grown from a very small operation to now being one of the Central Coast’s most popular seasonal attractions.
As one of the Central Coast’s most outstanding outdoor attractions, it is a fun and safe adventure on an enclosed coastal waterway with an island and many bays and inlets to explore.
Aquafun is ideally located on the foreshore reserve of Avoca Lake in Heazlett Park, 15 Ficus Ave, Avoca Beach on the NSW Central Coast and moments from the golden sands of Avoca beach and is less than 100m from the boutique seaside shopping village. Avoca Beach is a favourite destination for many visitors and is just 5 minutes south of iconic Terrigal beach on the Central Coast of NSW.
Aquafun Avoca Lake is home to Australia’s largest selection of modern human-powered pedalboats, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards for hire. If you can’t decide which one to hire, you can try them all with our ‘extra fun’ option.
Originally starting with windsurfers, old three-wheel aquabikes and canoes, over the years these have been replaced by investing in emerging trends such as kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. More recently they also added a whole new fleet of colourful designer pedalboats. Michael and Jennifer have their own fond memories too, reminiscing about their own kids (then 8, 6 and 4) growing up on the lake, “suntanned, barefoot and carefree!” They believe it has given them a great example to prioritise fun and adventure in their own lives.
