A store with a difference

Mitchell Gordon and Lynette Gilbert at Fairhaven Antiques and Collectables Emporium

A first for Fairhaven…

A store with a difference is thriving at Fairhaven Shopping Village in Point Clare.

Fairhaven Antiques and Collectables Emporium is the first charity run antique store in New South Wales.

The shop features a wide range of fine quality artwork, silverware, linen, porcelain, furniture and curios.

Fairhaven volunteer Lynette Gilbert is in-store every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to offer free advice about valuing and caring for your heirlooms.

Fairhaven’s Mitchell Gordon said “The emporium is proving popular with those looking for a unique ‘op shopping’ adventure. It is very exciting to be operating this new concept store. We are redefining the way people think of second hand stores, moving them towards a more bespoke and interesting retail experience”.

Fairhaven Antiques and Collectables Emporium is open 9am-4pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am-3pm Saturday. It is located in Fairhaven’s flagstaff school house at 209 Brisbane Water Drive, Point Clare.

Established in 1962, Fairhaven is a leading local charity and NDIS provider that has been providing supported employment, community participation and residential supports and opportunities for people living with disability on the Central Coast. We manage eight properties around the greater Gosford area and provide supported employment for over 140 people at Point Clare and Tuggerah.
