“Clue” the who-dunn-it comedy
Are you ready for a vibrant new production from Wyong Drama Group? It’s cold and the dark descends early in winter. So Wyong Drama Group is offering more matinees than before for the production of the who-dunn-it comedy of Clue from the screenplay by Jonathon Lynn and extra script by Sandy Rustin and based on the Hasbro Boardgame – Cluedo.
Familiar with the boardgame Cluedo? Perhaps like me you started playing it in the 50s as a child and now play it with grandchildren! Here it’s translated as Clue on Stage with the six colourful characters: Colonel Mustard (Andy Kabanoff), Mrs White (Diane Ormsby), Pofessor Plum (Daryl Butler), Miss Scarlet (Georgia Martin), Mr Green (Stuart Mortimer) and Mrs Peacock (Gabrielle McGee) with various familiar weapons in hand (remember the candlestick, rope, revolver and others?) to create mayhem. BUT, it’s the enigmatic Butler Wadsworth (Brett Perkins) who is the orchestrator of the dice throw and the ensuing movement from room to room, from Conservatory to Library via the secret passages, to discover who the murderer/s might be!
Clue on Stage is great fun and fetching! Note the 11 am and 3 pm matinees as well as evenings, for ease of enjoying the outing to the lovely venue of the Red Tree Theatre (a co-vid safe venue) on Tuggerah Straight. Parking is a breeze and the theatre has a bar and comfortable foyer seating to enjoy a morning coffee or afternoon wine!
Booking is simple through Trybooking via our website: wyongdramagroup.com.au or Red Tree Theatre. Discounts for groups and seniors apply and we’ve allowed for school students (or grandparents bringing them) to afford the experience (only $15). AND why not dress in the colour of your favourite Cluedo character to have the chance of winning a prize on the night!
We look forward to seeing you at Red Tree Theatre for Clue on Stage in August!
