Relax by Terrigal Lagoon waterfront, bring the family and experience the new purpose built, safe and inclusive skate park in memory of Banjo Pilon.
Enjoy live entertainment, food stalls, there will be local skaters from 360 Pro Scooters and Slam Factory who will be performing for you as part of the Banjo Skate Park Opening.
Musical performances by Fletcher Pilon, Gabbi Pilon,Sam Busker Jones, June and Trinity Young, Ellie Drennan, Greg Gould and The Button Mushrooms.


This new skate park pays tribute to the late Banjo Pilon, who – at only 10-years of age – tragically lost his life while skateboarding in his local street. Following this heartbreaking event, the community banded together and rallied for a much-needed skate park in the Terrigal/Wamberal area fully funded by a $500,000 grant from the Australian Government.   This event is sponsored by the Organ and Tissue Authority, which raises awareness in the community and encourages Australians to join the Australian Organ Donor Register at

    Entries are now open for the 9th annual Lakes Artsfest.

    We are non-profit organisation striving to increase awareness of and participation in the arts in the local Central Coast area. 2018 will be our 9th annual Artsfest and we have over 150 exhibits from artists in various media such as an exhibit of over 100 photos, quilts, oil paintings, acrylics, textiles and more. Artsfest entries are open to the whole community. We are especially proud of the July art workshops that accompany the Artsfest.
    Last year 30 children from the local area attended our classes and eight adults.
    Artists of all ages are invited to enter works in this local, family friendly show to be held 7,8,9 September at the Lakes Anglican Church in Kanwal.
    As part of the Artsfest, there will be art classes for children age 5 and up in the July school holidays.
    If you ever wanted to try your hand at watercolour, there will be two fun classes for beginning adults. Entry is $2. Tea and Scones available for sale.
