International renowned soprano Mirusia, heads to Wyong

She’s known to millions around the world as the “Angel of Australia” – the name given to her by the famous Dutch violinist, André Rieu, and she’s headed for Wyong. After a sold out show in 2021, Australian Soprano, Mirusia, returns to the Art House Wyong on Saturday August 13 to perform songs from her number one charting ARIA Album, ‘Songbird’.

This concert follows Mirusia’s life’s journey in song that traces her humble beginnings from an aspiring young Queensland singer of Australian and Dutch heritage to international soprano sensation touring stadiums with the “King of the Waltz”, André Rieu and a collaboration with Australian music royalty, the original members of the iconic band, The Seekers.

From her personal songbook, she performs the music that has been most inspiring on her journey to become one of the world’s favourite classical cross-over artists and shares the stories behind the music. This show will include beloved classics spanning many genres and feature songs from her new album Songbird, including contemporary hits such as The Greatest Love of All, The Long and Winding Road, Jolene, and Fleetwood Mac’s ode to love, Songbird.

“In a series of fun (and sometimes revealing!) anecdotes, I also tell the stories behind these songs. Such as Whitney Houston’s hit song, The Greatest Love of All. It is the song I sing to give myself strength to overcome any hurdles and block out the noise of naysayers. And you know what, I think it has worked!” adds Mirusia.

Mirusia performs at the Art House Wyong on Saturday, August 13, 7.30pm. Tickets on sale now from www.thearthousewyong.com.au or call the MEC box office on (02) 4335 1485.
