Meet the Italians of Wyong

We all know how much Italian people love their food, and these three people have delved into their Italian heritage to create offerings in Wyong which are sure to tantalize your taste buds.

Frank Arangio, whose Sicilian immigrant parents owned the local continental delicatessen in Fremantle, moved to Wyong when he bought The Royal Hotel, and brought with him his very high standards in food, and warm hospitality. We are so grateful to him and his talented wife Marney McQueen for renovating this old Pub and turning it into such a warm and welcoming venue with terrific food and excellent live music. It looks stunning. And their late-night Supper Club on Friday Nights brings with it a feeling of being in a New York jazz club, in Wyong!

Silvana Natoli. A “retired” Art Therapist and her love of cooking led her to open La Carta, a Gallery Café supporting local Artists. With her talented husband Robert by her side in the kitchen they create amazing cakes and traditional Italian home cooked dishes. Once a month they will serve High Tea and an Italian dinner. Silvana started a vintage Club for over 55’s to meet new friends in the area. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and somewhere you always feel welcome.

Dominic Sirone “Growing up as an Italian kid meant your meal time was always a big thing and not just in volume. Sharing a meal was always important. Mum would make sure you never left hungry. It was never an issue to cook quality, authentic southern Italian food and now I can share this same food with you at Sirone’s”.
