The Terrace Grill Restaurant & Bar Review
by Emilia Krumm
The Terrace Grill Restaurant & Bar is not only a seafood restaurant but an outstanding Italian Restaurant too. It has a variety of traditional and modern Italian dishes available on the menu.
I wrote my first review about this wonderful restaurant a few years ago and subsequently I have found every reason return. I have brought my family and friends to celebrate many a happy occasion and I really savour my meals here.
On arrival, the owner and Chef Tony Romeo, made us delicious Bruschetta, one with pumpkin, feta, and rocket, drizzled with garlic infused olive oil and one with a tomato, onion, fresh basil and a caramelised balsamic dressing. We enjoyed these with a Shell Bay Pinot Gris. (Emma preferred to have the Silver Series Tempest Two Shiraz.)
For Starters I had the Swordfish Carpaccio that was served with capers, radish, cornichons, pesto, olive oil, lime juice and caramelised balsamic vinegar. It was subtle and divine. Klara had the Beef Carpaccio with capers, radish, pesto, olive oil and lemon juice with the caramelised balsamic. Emma had been dreaming for days about the Chilli Bugs, which she finally enjoyed on the night, it had a spicy chilli sauce, (she was certainly not disappointed!)
Klara chose Sole that was grilled with butter and olive oil and served with chips and salad for her main course. Emma chose the Saltimbocca – Veal with Prosciutto and crispy Sage on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes and I was delighted with my Veal Marsala, with mushrooms served on mash with a side of greens. (One can tell that Tony sources only the finest local quality meats and seafood for his dishes!)
For dessert we all shared a Baileys Crème Brule that was smooth and heavenly. It was a great way to end the meal.
This restaurant is without a doubt, worth travelling for!
