The Terrace Grill Restaurant & Bar

There is always great excitement before having a meal at the Terrace Grill, as we never know what amazing Specials Tony has got in store for us. This time it was a unique Pipi and Pork Belly dish that surprised us with its hints of XO sauce. The choice of wine is superb, we had the Shell Bay Pinot Grigio and the Starborough ‘Sons of the Soil’ Pinot Noir that complimented our meal completely.

To start we had Fresh Live Mussels cooked in white wine, garlic and Napolitana sauce served with French organic bread, Goats Cheese Tortellini, home made with butternut pumpkin, Persian figs, candied walnuts, Grilled Baby Octopus marinated in sweet chilli sauce, and of course the Pipi and Pork Belly dish that I mentioned earlier, that had us all salivating.

Main courses were Grilled Misto de Mare – King prawns, mussels, scallops, squid, and fish grilled with herbs and olive oil, Whole Grilled Snapper with fresh vegetables, Veal Neptune – Tender veal pan cooked with Tasmanian scallops, king prawns, garlic and cream and served on mashed potatoes and lastly Free Range Duck Breast with Pork Belly – caramelised apple, seared sea scallops, roasted hazelnuts, morcilla and crackle. These meals were a feast for the senses and a great marriage of flavours.

For dessert we had The Mixed Dessert Platter to share (all house made) with White Chocolate Praline, Cheesecake, Tiramisu, Sticky Date Pudding, Ice Cream, Raspberry Sorbet, and fresh berries, (which was demolished in seconds!)

Tony Romeo and his team never disappoint, and all these dishes were truly outstanding. The Terrace Grill Restaurant & Bar comes Highly Recommended and a meal worth travelling for!
