Sydney Artist Alexia Sinclair Launches The Age of Wonder — Her First Fine-Art Book

Award-winning Sydney artist Alexia Sinclair has announced the release of The Age of Wonder, her first fine-art book, following more than three decades of exhibiting locally and internationally. The book follows the series’ debut at Sydney Contemporary earlier this year.

The 160-page, cloth-bound publication brings together over fifty works from Sinclair’s decade-long series inspired by exoticism in the 18th-century. Produced as a bespoke, limited First Edition, each copy is hand-signed, printed on premium art paper, and finished with gold foil detailing.

Kickstarter campaign-exclusive upgrades include a Slipcase Edition and Collector Bundles featuring signed archival prints.

The artworks were photographed in real locations and feature living animals, hand-made props, costumes, and sets, relying on traditional craftsmanship, historical research, and imagination.

The book is available for pre-order via Kickstarter, which functions as a pre-order platform: supporters are only charged if the campaign reaches full funding, at which point the project moves directly into production.

The campaign runs until 2 January 2026, with limited copies available.

A Christmas pre-order option includes a downloadable gift card — “Wonder is on the way.”
