Where better to go for a hearty Chicken Schnitzel than the Gosford RSL? I really enjoyed the Panko coated, large, well seasoned chicken breast that was served with chips, salad and a yummy mushroom sauce. This was chosen from The Classics Section of the menu. (There are six sections.)
The Chef Trent Webber has improved the selection of other tasty choices on the menu.
We had the Peking Duck Spring Rolls with Hoisin and Plum sauce for entrees, along with the Satay Chicken with Jasmine Rice, both were beautifully presented and delicious. These were chosen from the South East Asian section.
One of the choices From the Sea was the Grilled Lemon Sole that was Gluten and dairy free. It was tender and tasty. The other choice From the Land was the Braised Steak and Mushroom Pot Pie and both were served with creamy mashed potatoes and peas.
Luminous Burgers include a Double Wagyu Beef and Bacon Burger, Oak Haven Beer Braised Brisket Burger, Southern Style Chicken Burger and a Veggie Burger.
The last section is A Taste of Italy with Fettuccine Boscaiola, Fettuccine Bolognese, King Prawn Mafaldine Pasta and a Courgette Ribbon Pasta (GF, DF and V).
There is a variety of beers on tap including Sly Grog, (which is especially brewed for the RSL) Fifty Lashes, Tooheys and Four X along with many other drinks of your choice at the bar. Coffees and desserts can be ordered too, from the cafe (near the courtyard.)
