Join us for a brand NEW eco-friendly Pelican educational experience
The Coast’s new, eco-friendly educational wildlife experience that provides locals and guests with the opportunity to learn about our region’s iconic wild birds in a safe, respectful way.
Pelicans have played an integral role in making The Entrance a much-loved holiday destination for generations. With this in mind Marine Wildlife Rescue Central Coast, with the support of Central Coast Council and Destination Central Coast, have launched this new educational talk that provides visitors with the opportunity to experience seeing wild pelicans in their natural environment, while learning about pelicans from trained volunteers who have been rescuing and caring for them for over 30 years.
The Entrance Channel and Tuggerah Lakes being home to several local colonies of wild pelicans. As a leading ecotourism region in New South Wales and one of Australia’s first certified ECO Destinations, the Central Coast is proud to offer this respectful new nature experience.
A family friendly experience
See these huge birds up close and fully appreciate their beauty and size! The hardworking volunteers from Marine Wildlife Rescue will share their valuable knowledge on all things pelicans, as well as fascinating information on other wildlife in the region.
Pelican Time is live at Pelican Plaza, The Entrance, every Saturday, Sunday, Public Holidays (except Christmas), and every day during school holidays at 3:30pm.
