State of the Art Palliative Care Unit to open in Wyong

The 2nd Palliative Care unit is online to open early 2026. Following the opening of the 1st Unit in Gosford Hospital over 4 years ago, the need for a 2nd unit was quickly identified for the growing population of the northern area on the Central coast.

The active committee of the Elsies Project are continuing to raise funds and awareness for the new unit in Wyong Hospital and the ongoing cost for the upkeep of Gosford Unit.
Many community groups keep us going with beautiful handmade rugs for the beds and the Men’s Sheds of the Coast are making beautiful toys for the families who are visiting their families in the Unit.
