“GAME ON” – a live symphonic concert celebrating video game music

Symphony Central Coast presents GAME ON! a mesmerizing celebration of symphonic game music

See epic scenes from the games unfold on the big screen with a full symphony orchestra – an immersive audio visual experience!

Sunday – 24 May 2.30pm
Gosford Regional Library Auditorium, Donnison St. Gosford

GAME ON! is a live symphonic concert celebrating video game music. It’s the first major event of its kind bringing full-orchestra performances of blockbuster game soundtracks to the Central Coast region.

The epic universes of World of Warcraft, The Legend of Zelda, Fortnite and Final Fantasy and many others will unfold before your eyes. Featuring live performances of stunning, adrenalin-fuelled symphonic music from an unprecedented line-up of blockbuster video games, GAME ON! presents game walkthroughs on screen with full orchestral accompaniment.

The concert pairs a live full symphony orchestra with stunning HD video game footage (often described as “game walkthroughs on screen”). As the musicians play, epic scenes from the games unfold on a big screen, creating an immersive audiovisual experience that feels like stepping inside the games themselves. The program highlights adrenalin-fuelled, cinematic symphonic arrangements from a wide range of titles, turning memorable soundtracks into concert hall moments.

Stop playing the games at home alone. Come to a concert where you’ll be surrounded by other like-minded people, watching musicians recreate the music. A real human experience!

Program includes: Super Mario Odyssey, Fortnite, Deltarune, Halo, World of Warcraft, Elder Scrolls Online, Command and Conquer, Attack on Titan, The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy

Come dressed as your favourite character!

OUR NEW VENUE
After many years of performing in the Central Coast Grammar School’s Performing Arts Centre we are now moving to a new venue for 2026. The collaboration with the school and the use of their rehearsal and performance spaces was invaluable. However this has now come to an end and we need to find a new venue.

We are delighted to announce that future concerts will be held at the wonderful new library in Gosford which has an auditorium seating 250 and a large stage area and audio-visual facilities. Being a community based organisation, the library is commited to supporting groups such as our orchestra and is making this space available at a discounted rate. We’d like to thank them for their help and support in making this next phase of SCC possible.

The experience will be somewhat different since the orchestra will no longer be on a raised stage area but rather we will be more “in the round” with the audience much closer to the conductor and the musicians providing a more intimate experience.
The new venue has fewer seats and our new booking system will not provide assigned seating so you will need to get in early. All 2026 concerts are now on sale.
Another change is that all ticket sales will be online. After purchasing tickets you can download the ticket to your mobile phone to be scanned at the door. If you have difficulty navigating the online process you could ask a family member or friend to help purchase the ticket and then make a hard copy print to bring with you.

The library is not a dedicated theatre space and so there is not the same amount of foyer space available. Because of this we are not able to accommodate the wonderful CWA women who provided the refreshments at the school. We plan to provide water but if you would like a snack or other drink at the interval, you should bring something with you.

The symphony has been performing for the residents of the Central Coast for well over 20 years now and we aim to keep on innovating and offering high quality live music into the future. This new venue will open up new opportunities including an expanding audience from the growing Gosford region. Hopefully there won’t be too many teething problems! With your help and co-operation we are optimistic we can make this venue a new focus for orchestral music in the heart of Gosford.
