What a delight and privilege to be invited to the opening of another hidden gem on the Central Coast, the Imagine If Community Café at The Entrance.
Serving sustainably produced, socially responsible coffee and delicious, locally made food, this worthwhile enterprise is situated next to an enclosed playground, with an open, sunny verandah that has ramp access, and heaters for those cooler days. With such reasonable prices and great facilities, this location would be ideal for mothers groups, or a quick nutritious snack/light lunch when meeting with friends, or as a cozy place to work, undisturbed, on your laptop. If you’re out walking your dog and need a coffee break, this pet-friendly café welcomes you with homemade dog treats on offer just for them, and there is loads of parking for easy access.
The Entrance Community Centre
Imagine If is owned and operated by The Iris Foundation, which is a not-for-profit dedicated to suicide prevention through resilience-focused initiatives and early intervention. Based on the Central Coast, this social enterprise supports young peoples career development with real-world skills and fostering community connections for a brighter future. Every visit supports youth employability and mental health initiatives in The Entrance and across the Central Coast. On this special evening, some of the young cadets stepped in as wait-staff, serving with enthusiasm, efficiency, and bright smiles. It was a valuable real-world experience for them—and we believe they passed with flying colours. Congratulations to Chef Molly and Manageress Kristy for showcasing their leadership and expertise in organizing and executing such a significant event.
We wish founder Sue Liptrot every success, as her vision, dedication, and careful planning have brought to life a much-needed and outstanding initiative for the youth of the Central Coast.
We certainly look forward to our next visit.
