New cultural hub on the Central Coast!

A new venue and concert time but you can expect the same exciting and diverse concerts.

Symphony Central Coast is moving into the Central Coast’s new cultural hub and you’re invited! The auditorium at the brand-new Gosford Regional Library is custom built for a wonderful acoustic experience and is ideal for an afternoon of glorious music.

On Sunday 29 March we open with a trip to Italy, an unforgettable afternoon of Mediterranean charm and camaraderie with sparkling overtures and symphonies by Rossini and Mendelssohn and special guest artist soprano Camilla Wright will wow audiences with opera arias and favourite Neapolitan songs. In May we link up with the Comicon Festival and present an afternoon of the fantastic and the incredible with music from The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Fortnite and many others. Come dressed as your favourite character! Seriously!
On 28 June, we present the award-winning documentary Mozart’s Sister, a collaboration with Good.Film and Jigsaw Music.

Wolfgang and his sister Maria-Anna played together before Kings and Queens and were the talk of Europe, but what happened to her? Forced to withdraw from public life because she was a woman, this film explores why she was retired and what happened to her music. On 20 September we present the winner of the 2025 Concerto Concert, flautist Elana Sydenham as she performs Taffenel’s Fantasy on Der Freischutz, and we’ll also perform Dvorak’s much-loved eighth symphony and new music from Australian composer Jessica Wells.

To wrap up the year, it’s Gustav Holst’s influential suite The Planets, which has inspired many film composers since its premiere in 1918. Plus music from Kaija Saariaho and Jessica Montgomery.
