Australia’s best pools for 2024
After tallying up thousands of public votes and collating points from a panel of industry experts, online pool marketplace Poolz has announced Australia’s best pools for 2024 and the overall winner is Middle Harbour Magic.
The Seaforth pool was named Australia’s Best Pool after also taking out Best Out of Ground Pool and the People’s Choice award for Best Concrete Pool.
The custom concrete infinity edge pool is 10-metres long and 3.5-metres wide with frameless glass fencing, which seamlessly blends with a luxurious waterfront house and is positioned to take full advantage of the breathtaking views of Middle Harbour.
Central Coast based Rob and Ben Hitchcock from FreeStyle Pools built this year’s overall winner as well as the winner of Best Family Pool, and said the Seaforth pool was designed with modern sophistication and ease of use in mind as well as a layout to maximise the views.

“This pool project was such a pleasure to be involved in and we are so proud and honoured that it has taken out this year’s top Poolz award. It was a challenging build, but it sets a new standard in outdoor opulence and is a serene and beautiful space that makes the most of the glistening water views and Sydney skyline. The material selections were carefully considered to complement the contemporary home and landscaping, such as Ezarri glass mosaic tiles in a shade that gives the water a natural, peaceful and welcoming feel. Adding the infinity edge blends the pool into the harbour and skyline beyond, while the use of glass fencing allows uninterrupted views of the pool and the magic backdrop,” Rob said.
A panel of industry experts judged the 20 main award categories on form, function and first impressions, with the following pools taking out the remaining awards:

After counting the votes in the remaining People’s Choice categories, a stylish pool in Hunters Hill built with Feng Shui principles in mind took out Best Fibreglass Pool and a stunning plunge pool in Arundel in the Gold Coast hinterland won Best Plunge Pool.
A backyard oasis in Paddington, which also took out Best Landscaping, took out the inaugural Pool Owners Australia Top Pick which was chosen by the 150,000 members of the Pool Owners Australia Facebook community, the largest group of pool owners and enthusiasts in the country.
