While our summer pearl oyster babies are being looked after by our amazing pearl farmers, we are looking forward to a great year ahead!

Here on the Central Coast, we are sustainably growing Akoya pearls, which are amongst the finest quality pearls grown anywhere in the world. Come and explore the sustainable aquaculture of oysters & pearls. You can discover these hidden gems at Broken Bay Pearl Farm’s Shellar Door, situated on the edge of the of the stunning Lower Hawkesbury River in Mooney Mooney.

Our pearl farm experiences are the perfect way to get outside and learn something new.

Our most popular tour is the Discovery Experience. You’ll discover the intricacies of pearl farming, with a guided tour of our Shellar Door and a cruise out to a pearl oyster lease. You will also learn the history of Australian pearling and enjoy entry into the restricted-access pearl grading room for an immersive pearl grading session.

Visitors are also welcomed to come and browse our selection of locally grown pearls, shells, and jewellery, or enjoy fresh local oysters at our outdoor seating alongside the river and enjoy the view of Spectacle Island.
