You can discover these hidden gems at Broken Bay Pearl Farms Shellar Door, situated on the edge of the of the stunning Lower Hawkesbury River in Mooney Mooney.
Visitors are welcome to come in and browse our selection of locally grown pearls, shells, and jewellery, or enjoy some fresh local oysters at our outdoor seating alongside the river.

The most popular tour is the Discovery Experience. You’ll discover the intricacies of pearl farming, with a guided tour of the Shellar Door and a cruise out to a pearl oyster lease. You will also learn the history of Australian pearling and enjoy entry into the restricted-access pearl grading room for an immersive pearl grading session. Families, couples, and groups all enjoy the tours and learning about this unique aquaculture industry on the Central Coast.
