Gosford: Come and Find What’s Happening

Gosford is changing — but it’s not finished yet. After decades of sitting patiently, the city centre is now an emerging urban destination: a little rough around the edges, full of character, and increasingly worth exploring.
Along the Gosford Strip, a new generation of independent businesses, hospitality operators, artists and cultural organisations are creating reasons to stay a little longer.
Start with a Thai favourite at Bow Thai, heritage character at Hotel Gosford, or a classic pub experience at the Railway Hotel. Discover Dionysia Wine House & Restaurant, where NSW wine and food are celebrated in an intimate setting on Mann Street, or settle in at South End Social, At Baker Street or Pinocchios Wine & Pizza Bar.
Explore Nepalese flavours at Nepalese Accent, Tuscan cooking at Il Toscano, Korean barbecue at Seoul BBQ House, or locally brewed beer at Bay Road Brewing and some wonderful kebabs from C5 right through to Beau’s Burgers bringing fresh local burgers and coffee while OG Bowls across the plaza offers fresh bowls, smoothies and coffee.
And there’s more on the way. Den Arcade is scheduled to open in October, bringing retro arcade games, karaoke and Mexican street food while the recently opened Archibald you can discover voco’s Astra rooftop, Archies, Paolo’s, Ironbark and its growing collection of food, drink and entertainment experiences. Then there’s FunHaus Factory, bringing contemporary arts, live music, performance, cabaret, comedy and festivals into the heart of the city.
Gosford isn’t finished. There are empty spaces, old buildings and plenty of work ahead. That’s part of its story.
From multiple co-working spaces in the heart of the CBD to new and established health, fitness and beauty businesses, Gosford’s Strip is becoming increasingly diverse. A new local grocery store has even joined the mix, reflecting a precinct that is evolving beyond its traditional retail and hospitality offering.
Come discover a city in the middle of becoming.
